AVINASH GUPTA

Avinash Gupta is a commercial litigator who came to Brown Wegner LLP with trial court experience already in hand. Before joining the firm, he worked at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard and Smith, one of the largest litigation firms in the country, where he handled complex civil matters from intake through trial preparation. His work there spanned dispositive motion practice, fact development, case strategy, and all phases of discovery, giving him a foundation in commercial litigation that goes well beyond what most attorneys carry at his stage of practice. He graduated cum laude from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law in May 2025, ranking 16th in a class of 130.

At Chapman Law School, Avinash served as a Staff Editor of the Chapman Law Review and earned two writing distinctions: the Golden Quill Award for best 1L brief and the Outstanding Student Writer Award, given to five students in his graduating class for exemplary legal writing. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, and holds a Paralegal Certification from the University of San Diego. He brings conversational proficiency in Hindi and Urdu.

Avinash is drawn to high-stakes litigation and the precision it demands, both in the courtroom and in preparation. Outside his practice, he competes in endurance sports including triathlon, marathon, and cycling, pursuits that reflect the same discipline and long-range thinking he brings to complex cases.
