Martin earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Colorado, Boulder, in 2010. At The University of Denver Sturm College School of Law, Martin represented Veterans on Veteran Affair Benefits and discharge upgrades while participating in the Veterans Advocacy Clinic. Additionally, as a student intern for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, he researched novel methods of applying Intellectual Property Law to cultural appropriation issues and examined patent applications. Before earning his law degree, Martin was a civil servant enlisted in the US Navy and later the Federal Aviation Administration as an Electronics Engineer.
